Anti-Scientology site spurs award | CNET.com
If Scientology is telling the truth, what do they have to worry about.
1010 WINS: Something's Missing from New Atlantic City: Bibles
(1010 WINS) (ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.) The rooms in the splashy, billion-dollar Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa will be missing one item when it opens this summer -- a Bible.
What a shame, they will take the money of the people but will not give them what they will thirst for eventually.

I must apologies to my reader(s) that I have not been blogging as much as normal. This is the time for final exams in my on-line classes. I had a final project in Accounting Information Systems that took 29 pages, and still have a final to take in Network Operating Systems 1(probably tomorrow). Not to mention that I have a test to write for the XML class I teach. Things should return to normal (Church/tape/book notes) by the early part of next week. So work with me here.
Wired News: Video-Game Merchants Under Fire
SEATTLE -- In an effort to protect kids from violent imagery and the rest of us from violent kids, the state of Washington is prepared to make it illegal for stores to give youngsters access to interactive images of mayhem.
A bill that restricts the sale or rental of some violent video and computer games to adults-only customers passed unanimously in both the state House and Senate. Gov. Gary Locke is expected to sign the measure this week.
While I find it is the parents responsibility to police what the children do, I still applaud the law and encourage its passage. Why? Because I have seen parents come into a store where I was working with a 10 year old. The child wanted to buy the original Grand Theft Auto, and the store I was working in did not carry it. When I told the child that we would not carry it, the parent all of a sudden got interested and asked why. When explained that the language was not appropriate for young children, he grabbed junior and went out of the store angrily. I am sure junior got grounded. But what would have happened if we did carry it. You see, kids can convince parents that something is ok, trust me, you and I did it also, and my kids try it too. There is no way in todays world parents can keep up with it all, lets help the parents. Of course the parents still have to look over things as well.

This just in: Spammers fib | CNET News.com
The FTC's study, False Claims in Spam, which analyzed 1,000 pieces of unsolicited commercial e-mail gleaned from FTC databases and government officials' in-boxes, found that 66 percent of spam contains some type of fraudulent claim.
I wonder how much of my taxpayer dollars they spent for this. Let's see 1000 spam emails, gee I get that in my Yahoo email box in one day, and I would say the numbers are closer to 100% but that is a Conservative guess. I am so glad that I have the government to tell me just what the truth is in Spam e-mail.
KOTV - The News On Six - Iraqi lawyer who helped rescue Jessica Lynch granted asylum
An Iraqi lawyer who helped U.S commandos locate and rescue prisoner of war Jessica Lynch has been granted asylum in the United States, Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge announced Tuesday.
Thank you to the man for helping her. His kind deed will not go unpunished. Too bad about the guy who rescued the babies in the burning fire though.
